A mobile app designed to assist teachers, created for the Aspandau Teacher project

service
IT product development
development period
2 months
Our new case—a mobile app for every teacher—was developed at the request of the creators of the Aspandau Teacher project. Unlike others, this platform focuses on the professional activities of the educator rather than just the learning process itself.

We provide an opportunity to stay up-to-date with new educational methods without taking time away from work or daily tasks. Teachers can review information during short breaks between classes and during recess periods.
Tasks
A project of this scale provides valuable insights into new educational trends, technical innovations, and teaching methodologies. This format is convenient for two reasons: content is presented in a super concise form, and it’s always accessible from any mobile device running Android or iOS.

Before creating a completely new product, we examined numerous challenges faced by everyday teachers.

Among other things:
  • lack of experience in finding relevant information online
  • an abundance of sources
  • time constraints
Sometimes, to find an answer, you need to sift through tons of information, much of which has little to no value. That's why we tackled this issue head-on and redesigned our approach to gathering and updating content so that it's all stored in one place and easily accessible.

To accomplish this, we assembled a team consisting of:
  • project manager (PM)
  • experienced react native developer
  • Senior and Middle Laravel developers
  • DevOps
  • web designer
  • juniors, analysts, copywriters
Process
Since the stage of identifying pressing issues was completed and a pool of data for analysis had been gathered, we moved on to working on the design.

User Experience (UX)
For teachers, we created an intuitive and, most importantly, inviting interface. The designer sketched out prototypes of future app pages to get an idea of what they would look like on a mobile screen. This allowed us to trace the user journey and visualize the concept of the app.

User Interface (UI)
The app features a familiar format where you only need to register/login to start using it, which takes just a few minutes. Afterward, you'll be automatically directed to the main interface, which offers a variety of interesting sections.
Implementation
First, we conducted analytics, then created a prototype in Figma, and also thought through the design there. We tried to make the interface simple and functional, as requested by the client.

For convenience, we developed the most suitable form for each user:
  • Internship
This section contains up-to-date information about ongoing internships that users can participate in. It also allows users to generate reports on completed internships, view accumulated points, and browse question history.
  • Notifications
This page displays news related to tools and articles from educators.
  • Educators
In this section, you will find a list of educators and cultural figures. It also shows current news related to their activities. Each piece of news can be viewed and rated.
  • EdTech
Category tree. Selecting one of them opens a tool card, providing access to educational content.
  • News
Here, all relevant information is collected, with the option to search for specific content. Each news item includes a headline, description, and publication date, making it easy to see the relevance of any given article.
  • Teacher
Section with subcategories covering various topics. By selecting a topic, a feed opens, allowing you to search and delve deeper into the material.
Admin Panel
The app's control panel and its connected users deserve special mention. Through the web interface, the entire app, its content, reviews, complaints, and more are fully controlled. The extensive functionality is unlimited—administrators can do whatever they want: add, block, and delete users; fill sections with content, respond to user questions, etc.
Result

The new app will help teachers enhance their qualifications free of charge, thanks to domestic and foreign innovative educational schools.

Aspandau Teacher delivers information in both educational and entertaining formats. Most importantly, it enables receiving feedback from teachers regarding their needs.
We also received a very nice review
«Sailet» developed an app that will allow teachers to receive the most up-to-date information in education. We are confident that such a product will make the process of reintegrating teachers into the updated training program successful and swift.

Why «Sailet»?
In making our decision, we relied on reviews, experience, and the company's portfolio. Just a couple of weeks after our first meeting, we were provided with one version of the app. Subsequent changes were quickly made, and beta testing was carried out. We remained in constant contact with the project manager. We agreed on changes and innovations with him. There were no communication problems because he was fully informed about the progress of the development.

Thanks to a confident, professional approach to implementing the project, the goal set before the team was fully achieved.
